Explore Africa: Tanzania (2007)

Open Source documentary from Link Media.
The Explore team visits Tanzania in Southeast Africa, a country with a population of roughly 38 million people. Tanzania borders the Atlantic Ocean, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Tanzania was founded in 1964 and incorporated two independent states of Tanganyika and Zanzibar. Tanzania declared war on Uganda in 1979 after Uganda attempted to annex one of its provinces, eventually prevailing and expelling Ugandan forces, leading to the downfall of Idi Amin.

The Explore team discovers Tanzania's Serengeti Plain, and takes a safari trip to visit the home of the famous "Blue Wildebeest" and numerous other wild animals. A wildebeest migration occurs annually in Tanzania, where the animals circle a large area in search of food and water and are often preyed upon by lions and other big cats.
